22nd AIMS ANNUAL
MANAGEMENT EDUCATION CONVENTION
22nd ANNUAL MANAGEMENT EDUCATION CONVENTION 2010, of Association of Indian Management Schools, was held from August 26 – 28, under the Presidentship of Prof (Dr.) Shefali Gautam, Director- SIMS.
The theme for this year’s convention was “India 2020: Challenges and Opportunities for Management Education”. Former President of India, Honorable Dr. APJ Abdul Kalam was the chief guest and he delivered the inaugural address at the convention. Honorable Dr. Karan Singh; Member of Parliament (Rajya Sabha) was the chief guest at Valedictory session and he delivered the valedictory address.
THAILAND TOUR
SIMS students visited THAILAND as a part of INTERNATIONAL EXCURSION from 13th October to 19th October 2010.
International Internship
It gives us immense pleasure to inform that three Students of second year PGDM program (Arindam Nag, Dipankar Rana & Prakash Barik ) of our institute were selected for International Internship for One Month at Singapore (8th Oct- 7th Nov,2010). The company was Techno Fiber, a marine based company which is into Manufacturing of Life-Boats and other related products. They were entrusted with a Project titled “NEW ZEALAND – THE NEXT GROWTH FRONTIER: Harnessing the untapped potential”. They completed their project successfully and returned back with valuable insights about the international business world. Their project report was highly appreciated by the Director and Management of the Company. These three SIMSIANS are sure to chart their success story in corporate world. The institute is proud of them.
ERP PROGRAM
In order to equip the students to face the corporate world, an Enterprise Resource Program (ERP) is organized so as to familiarize the students with the latest trends in the Industry
PDP PROGRAM
Regular sessions on Personality Development Program are being conducted so as to groom the students to brace the corporate world.
Social Responsibility Activities@SIMS
The vision with which SIMS function is 'Education by Values and Values by Education' . Since the day of inception of te institute we have been trying our best to inculate such values in our students which develop in them a sense of responsibility toward society and weaker sections in particular and in general the form of community source. It is with the help of value rich personality of our students that we have been able to organize the following activities:
- Blood Donation Camp.
- Walk for Blood
- Distribution of old cloths in slum areas
- Joy of Giving
- Organized Hygiene Awareness Camp in Schools.
Few activities were in collaboration with Rotary Club, Vaishali and Rotract Club of SIMS. |
